Today I am boarding a plane bound for Michigan. There I will help my lovely friend Jill load a truck which will take us to NYC. Some of you may be thinking “Didn’t you JUST get back from California two days ago?” Yes, yes I did. The last 24 hours have included a frantic grocery store run for Mr. Decor and Sweet Guy, quickly doing the laundry and repacking so I can head off for work. Then upon my return, I will have just a few days to load up another truck and head to Tennessee. One thing that will be consistently in my suitcase is A Prairie Devotional.
Baby Grace
My friend, Wendi Lou Lee, may be someone that you didn’t know that you knew. Wendi and her twin sister Brenda played the part of Baby Grace on the cherished long-running series Little House on the Prairie. She recounts the time spent on set as truly magical.

Wendi and I met a few years ago at a Little House event. As she shared some life-changing events my heart was drawn to hers. Her faith and humility were so inspiring. My own eyes filled with tears when she recounted being diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2015. As many of you know, I lost my own dear mother, Karen, to a brain tumor when I was only five. It hit close to home when she spoke of going into surgery with no guarantee that she would wake up or if she would even remember her name. Yet she was still filled with peace that God had a plan for her.

Wendi had begun a blog to provide her family and friends with health updates. In her writing, she found that people value honesty and that kindred spirits were drawn to her vulnerability. With the full support of her family, she decided to write a book.

A Prairie Devotional
A Prairie Devotional is a collection of stories about Wendi’s life interwoven with cherished lessons learned from various episodes of Little House.
She hopes to inspire others to face life’s joys and sorrows much in the way the Ingalls did – remaining devoted to their faith, dedicated to family, as well as sharing love and kindness to everyone.
I am so grateful that Wendi graciously included me with an advanced copy of her devotional. It has been a joy to read as well as share with you.
I’ll be back on Saturday sweet friends.

Wow! You are really burning up the roads and skies! I have been watching some vlogs on YouTube about Costume College, namely Enchanted Rose Costumes and Costuming Drama. That is some kind of amazing event! I finally saw you on Costuming Drama’s vlog on Sunday at the trunk show. Looks like you were doing some shopping. Surprise, surprise! Hope you’ll be doing a post on your Costume College experience soon when things kind of settle down for you. I look forward to reading Wendi’s devotional as I’m always interested in anything Little House.
