Yes, indeed I traveled Over The River and Through The Woods to arrive at my Grandmother's home. She is near Grand Rapids. Judy Garland fans know that this is the birthplace of the beloved "Dorothy". A Love of Buttons and Tufted Furniture
I grew up in a small town with one fabric store, Hart's Fabrics on Plumas Street. Near the register in Hart's was an old iron claw foot tub that was filled with buttons. Hundreds of thousands of buttons in every style, shape, and color imaginable. When I was really small I would crawl into the tub and bury myself in the buttons.
