It's Beginning To Look A lot Like Christmas. Are you counting down the days? Every afternoon Sweet Boy opens one door of the advent calendar to find the sweet treat of the day. Today will have him baking cookies with mom. It's Beginning To Look A lot Like Christmas Here is a close up of a few of the doors. Prairie Girl

Yesterday's blog featured a review of the Little House on the Prairie musical and photos of my family meeting the entire cast. Today I thought I would share a few pictures from Wednesday nights Little House children's event. Here's our family all dressed up to meet the wee folk. It's the picture you dartboard enthusiasts have been waiting for, a prairie girl.  Prairie Girl I brought in my family album, a few of the Little House books in other languages and a favorite Little House Christmas ... Little House on the Prairie The Musical

Little House on the Prairie The Musical finally made a wagon train stop in Tempe, Arizona. Of course, I HAD to go. On the opening night no less. Little House on the Prairie The Musical Melissa Gilbert plays the part of "Ma". There is no doubt about it, the lady can sing! Her song to Laura "Wild Child" made me all misty. Steve Blanchard fills the boots of "Pa" quite well. His voice is like golden honey. The entire cast is truly wonderful! The entire audience laughed and cried ... View the Post

A Cake For Someone Special

A Cake For Someone Special. There is one person who has read each and every one of my blog posts. He even sometimes starts conversations with "I have something you should blog about." I really ADORE him. A Cake For Someone Special He is always supportive when I say "I have an idea..."  Eric is king of slapstick and the action shot, which never fails to make me smile.  He is not only our family's fearless leader but keeps an entire pack of wolves in line. I am blessed ... View the Post

Cute As A Button Craft 4

Cute As A Button Craft 4. This craft is easy and so lovely. The ornament adds a bit of simple elegance to your tree or to top off a gift. All of the supplies can be purchased at most craft stores. Cute As A Button Craft 4 First, gather some clear glass ball ornaments. I selected the small and medium size. Take off the metal top and drop a few tiny crystals into the ornament. I like Swarovski, they really sparkle. Add some pearls of various sizes and colors. These pearls are from ... View the Post

Anthropologie Inspired Tree Topper Craft 3

Anthropologie Inspired Tree Topper Craft 3. Late last week I found myself in a certain favorite store perusing their seasonal displays. I picked up their recent catalog and found myself enamored with the Mystic Nest Tree Topper. It was a crown of sorts truly fit for a magical snow queen. Alas, it had a price tag that was also reserved for royalty. Anthropologie Inspired Tree Topper Craft 3 It made me think about my own tree topper if you call one huge velvet bow a tree topper. It ...
