So far this summer I have moved, painted an entire house, sent my firstborn out into the world all while trying to entertain and nurture an active 10-year-old boy. It has been worthwhile but exhausting. I felt as if I could use a bit of a pick me up. Happiness Is: My darling girl has been living in California for several weeks now working as an intern for a fast rising fashion house. To say that I have missed her is an understatement. My sweet California blond. In the past, she has also been ... View the Post
Summer of Design Secrets ~ Listen
Welcome to the Décor To Adore summer series of design secrets. I’ll be sharing with you various solutions on how to decorate your home and create design solutions to common problems while on a budget. In my best Julie Andrews voice I sing “Let's start at the very beginning A very good place to start” Now this first tip is both simple but difficult: Each and every house will speak to you. There are plenty of premade pot rack options. But I like the idea of something a bit more unconventional. Julia Child I believe set the trend for thinking outside the box with her pegboard pot rack solution. Pot Racks I mean why get something that everyone else can have when you can create your ... That way when you are completely exhausted you won’t have a major meltdown when you walk into the bedroom and find a bare mattress. Next, is putting away the bathroom necessities so that teeth can still be brushed in spite of the chaos. Third, in line is unpacking the kitchen. What can I say? I like to eat. Here are Utensil Storage Ideas. Utensil Storage ... View the Post
