2013 Year End Favorites

What a year! I hit a blogging milestone of 1000 posts and also turned 45. There were several projects completed this year and it was hard to pick favorites but I narrowed it down to a baker’s dozen. We began the New Year in 2013 with three posts that featured glorious party food, a happy tablescape, and party hats that are still pinned approximately 25 times a day. The first home project of 2013 was transforming my office for under $30. Part 1 was the room itself and decorating the ... View the Post

All Is Calm All Is Bright

Happy 5th Day of Christmas! Are you now singing “Five Gold Ringggggssss”? The 12th day of Christmas will occur on January 6th~ the Epiphany. The day when the wise men arrived and presented their treasures to Christ. All Is Calm All Is Bright. All Is Calm, All Is Bright I absolutely adore this Christmas season. I know in Blogland a different season is celebrated. The preseason. It’s more of a race. It seems to focus on who can be the first to get their wreath on the door. ... View the Post

Christmas Clips

Here is another quick and easy holiday craft. It is a perfect activity to help keep the kids occupied and add a festive flair to your decorating and gift giving with Christmas Clips. Little vintage treasures were hot glued to the clip. (But craft glue could be used instead for little fingers.) Then a ... View the Post

You can use rosemary, sage, thyme and even lettuce leaves in a pinch. Make sure all are washed and dried. Nestle in a few small bowls of nuts, dried fruits, and olives. Add assorted meats and cheeses along with pretty serving tools. Serve alongside some yummy crackers and fresh ... View the Post

Candy Cane Initial and A Pocket Fold Napkin

Next week I will be hosting a dinner party for 12. I wanted something for each guest that would be a nice alternative to the commonplace card. Here is a Candy Cane Initial and A Pocket Fold Napkin. Candy Cane Initial and A Pocket Fold Napkin I found the candy cane striped pipe cleaners in the Target $1 section. I have also seen them at the dollar store. You’ll need wire cutters for certain initials and also a pencil or pen to curl the ends. Easy To Make The pipe cleaners bend into ... View the Post

Happy Holidays For One and All

Our home is glowing and we hope it will be Happy Holidays For One and All. Happy Holidays For One and All Not because of happy little villages… Or baubles of blue…. Even though we don’t have a tree or a huge pile of presents the glow is bright and it is coming from within. Today we would like to let our light shine. Through the generosity of our Lord working through several wonderful angels, my Etsy shop has been a grand success. As you can see from above our family will have a ... View the Post
