ORC Week 5 Creating Original Artwork and Other Painting Projects

I can hardly believe this is the last day of April. This month has just flown by. This past week was all about painting projects. The freshly painted mantle was hung and I began to try out various groupings of accessories. ORC Week 5 Creating Original Artwork and Other Painting Projects. ORC Week 5 Creating Original Artwork and Other Painting Projects I also found some pillows for the couch that were almost the perfect color palette…. I just added a bit of watered down “Florence” ... Creating Covered Buttons and Other Delights with Vintage Fabric Scraps

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I am now smack dab in the middle of finals week in school. Creating Covered Buttons and Other Delights with Vintage Fabric Scraps. Creating Covered Buttons and Other Delights with Vintage Fabric Scraps Last week as I rearranged my office/sewing area I found myself looking at some wee bits of leftover fabric from the aprons I had recently made. Eleanor’s Aprons

So many of the things I adore such as antique lace and vintage textiles I learned to love from my Grandma Jingles. This has resulted in a very special and heartfelt project, Eleanor's Aprons. Installing French Drains and Other Things

While April showers do bring May Flowers…. We have also found out why there was so much water damage to the back of the house causing Mr. Décor to replace all of the back siding last January. Both the Mr. and I have been toiling in the backyard this past week. We have been logging hours upon hours of backbreaking labor to try and create what resembles a landscaped yard/garden. It was only when it rained buckets that we discovered …“Fort Worth, we have a problem.” So, there are two ... View the Post

The Living Room Challenge Week 2

Oh, this past week just flew by! In addition to the Easter holiday, we also celebrated the Fashionista’s birthday and went to Round Top, Texas, for 2 1/2 days for the antique fair. That left just 2 days to work on the living room in between taking two tests, writing two papers, and trying to keep the family fed. Whew! The Living Room Challenge Week 2 The Living Room Challenge Week 2 I did manage to get all the floors waxed. That was a big job that had to be done in sections so we could ... View the Post
