A Daybed in the Sunroom

A Daybed in the Sunroom

Earlier this week I had one of my famous bright ideas. After weeks of wondering just what type of furniture I wanted to put in the sunroom, the thought occurred to me to have A Daybed in the Sunroom. We would need to move the daybed I wrote about it on Tuesday down from my office. The Fashionista said, “Let’s try it because I don’t think the bed is really working upstairs.” Sweet Guy though was on the fence. That is until we lugged the two heavy sideboards and rails down the stairs and put it ... View the Post

Sunroom Décor Ideas

I am ready to begin decorating the sunroom. Right now it’s feeling a bit empty and white. Here is a collection of Sunroom Décor Ideas. Sunroom Décor Ideas The sunroom sits just right off of our living room. It is a long and narrow bowling alley of a space. It measures just 11’ 7” by 16’ 9”. Indeed if you stand at the front door you can see all the way to the back door. There are nice features in the area~ hardwood floors, crown molding and plantation shutters on the tall windows. ... A Summertime Bedroom

Sometimes it’s ok to just make small investments in a room until you are ready to make big changes. I was ready for A Summertime Bedroom. A Summertime Bedroom When we first moved into Storybook Cottage both the Mr. and I knew right away that we could only live for a few days with the feeling that we were sleeping inside an avocado. But I had no idea WHAT color to paints the walls. I already knew that the curtains we had in our last two houses were a foot and half too short for the ... View the Post

A Closer Look at the Kitchen Renovation Subway Tile Backsplash

When we first decided to replace the countertops, we had a thought to keep the existing backsplash. The variegated square stone tiles weren’t too bad. However, once we decided to go with Corian countertops, the bottom tiles needed to be removed for the countertop installation. Upon closer inspection, we knew there would be no way to salvage the stone tile as they had been applied directly to the sheetrock. There were also a host of other issues. It took about half a second for me to answer ... View the Post

Ice Cream, Kabobs and a Wee Bit of Gardening

Did you have a lovely weekend? We were mainly at home trying to stay cool while dealing with a broken A/C unit. We survived with Ice Cream, Kabobs, and a Wee Bit of Gardening. Ice Cream, Kabobs and a Wee Bit of Gardening Ice cream bars helped out tremendously and the dogs love to lick the sticks clean. Sweet Guy made a lovely dinner on Saturday. Chicken and vegetable kebobs/kabobs and macaroni salad. We were both laughing because he said: “Mom don’t take my picture of me in an ... View the Post
