Today’s post marks the end of my summer vacation series. I hope you will enjoy Touring the Rockefeller Home Bassett Hall. In almost gleeful anticipation as a mother, it also marks the end of the last week of summer vacation for Sweet Boy. He returns to school on Monday. Yippeeee! While it has been wonderful to focus on my children this summer I am truly itching to return to project mode. De Witt Museum and the Summer Gardens & Attire at Colonial Williamsburg
Coming near the end of our trip there was one place I had been looking forward to visiting, the DeWitt Museum at Colonial Williamsburg. When I was last at Colonial Williamsburg I was so busy photographing the holiday wreaths, interiors, and fashions that I ran out of time. I was determined to go there and had heard it was a museum that children would enjoy. Although I am smack dab in the middle of designing an entire house for truly lovely clients I took today off. The Fashionista has to work on Sunday so she wanted to celebrate Mother’s Day today with me. Just how will we spend it? At the movies. We’ve been waiting months for the theatrical version of “The Great Gatsby”. It is based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s third book, a ... View the Post
The Most Beautiful Book in the World The Book of Kells
As you know I haven’t really been blogging much these past two weeks. Instead I have been writing a 15 page APA formatted research paper for my Art History class. Final grades were posted this morning. (The class was escalated into a 7 week semester~ whew!) It seems this magnum opus of a paper helped earn me an “A” in the class. (Pardon me while I cry just a little bit in relief.) The Most Beautiful Book in the World The Book of Kells. Given that I often post things of Irish decent in the month ... View the Post
