Bits of Bliss Happy Summer Wonders

On Monday I will be driving Sweet Guy to his second week of summertime camping with the Boy Scouts. There has been a tremendous amount of prep work as this is a leadership camp and the boys are expected to pack in every single bit of their gear, pitch their own tents, etc. So we have been practicing and packing all week. Here is Bits of Bliss Happy Summer Wonders. Bits of Bliss Happy Summer Wonders I was a Girl Scout from Brownie’s through Seniors. I can build outdoor shelters, create fire ... View the Post

Easy Doublemint Brownies

As a child, Mr. Décor’s mother would make Easy Doublemint Brownies every Christmas. A batch is easy to whip up and these brownies freeze very well. Make some now to have on hand all holiday season long. Here are the brownie  ingredients: 4 squares of unsweetened chocolate (I often use Bakers brand) 1 cup of butter or margarine 2 cups of sugar 4 eggs 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint oil (you can find this in the cake decorating aisle at Michael’s and Joann’s) 1 cup of flour 1/4 teaspoon ... Easy and Refreshing Blueberry Spritzers

During the long and hot summer, it is so important to stay hydrated. In an effort at better health, I have been trying very hard to wean myself off of cola. (I wish somebody would make a patch for that!) I drink as much water as I can, but sometimes I want a little more flavor with hardly any effort or extra calories. Make some Easy and Refreshing Blueberry Spritzers. Easy and Refreshing Blueberry Spritzers This fizzy drink uses cold club soda, blueberries and just a few drops of water ... View the Post

The Final Exam

I love bible studies, do you? It's the best prep for The Final Exam. The Final Exam This past week I’ve been doing another type of studying…. for college exams. As always, it’s been a bit of a challenge to be a 45-year-old college student who is also a wife, mother, designer, and blogger. In addition, Mr. Décor is currently in Florida. Math is finished. I still have History of Photography which has NOT been as fun as it sounds. Then there is a two-part level 2 oral French exam. ... View the Post

This was An Easy and Pretty Appetizer Platter that platter took me less than 5 minutes to create.  An Easy and Pretty Appetizer Platter The first layer is fresh herbs for a bit of color and heavenly scent.
