Sweet Favors

There are many ways you can greet or send your guests off that are simple but make them feel extra special. Here are a few Sweet Favors.   Sweet Favors Christmas crackers are a time-honored festive tradition.   Flowers are always Centsational!   Of course the fail safe collection of sweets is always appreciated too. I have a tiny holiday table this year so I decided to create something truly crafty. It began when I discovered a sack full of dirty, rusty boxes at the ... View the Post

Holiday Preparations

I am buzzing around with Holiday Preparations for the upcoming season. It is a true delight that fall has finally found Phoenix. I am finding myself drawn to various shades of cream, taupe, and sage this year. Holiday Preparations My preparations began with a thorough cleaning of Décor To Adore manor. Every cupboard and closet was gone through. After I cleaned the oven, microwave, refrigerator, and pantry I made a list of fun holiday foods I wanted to see on the shelves. Trips were made to ... Hi Ya

The day started out in the school office. Sweet Boy and I like to make sure that the administrative ladies know we love them. Hi Ya! The 4th graders were enjoying the Great Pumpkin Caper. For those of you unfamiliar with the art of Bento, it is a single-portion meal originating in Japan. A traditional bento consists of rice, fish or meat, and one or more pickled or cooked vegetables, packed artistically in a box-shaped container. I will stop right here and let you know I DO NOT take it to ... View the Post

She Sells Seashells Stockings

Christmas time in Phoenix is always warm. The thought of heavy velvets and wools can get a bit stifling. I’ve been trying to think cool thoughts and work on projects with cool themes. You really can’t get any cooler than the seashore and Christmas. She Sells Seashells Stockings. She Sells Seashells Stockings I dug through the fabric remnants I had on hand; antique ticking, vintage damask napkins and a bit of chambray and linen. The stocking pattern that I used was by Simplicity, ... View the Post

Moelleux au Chocolat et Casseroles de Cuivre

I adore chocolate. That is not a secret to anyone who knows me. While in France I made some wonderful Moelleux au Chocolat (chocolate lava cake). It was a bit of heaven when paired with the local fresh red raspberries. Here is how to make Moelleux au Chocolat et Casseroles de Cuivre Chocolate Lava Cakes and Copper Cookware.                    Moelleux au Chocolat et Casseroles de Cuivre Now you know how I love my copper! I wrote a post devoted entirely to the subject matter ... View the Post
