The Lightbulb is Fully Lit

On Wednesday I will start a new semester at college. Sadly, one of my four classes was dropped due to lack of enrollment. I am sure that it will in some way become a blessing. For those of you who enjoy my school antics and lovingly pray for me, thank you so much. One of the classes that really was a challenge for me last semester was an advanced lighting class. Early on our instructor informed us that we could opt out of a term paper if we created our own light fixture. So I turned to the ... View the Post

Pick me, pick me! Craft 7

Pick me, pick me! Craft 7. I recently made some festive picks using vintage sheet music. Pick me, pick me! Craft 7 The larger leaf and blossom style ended up on my tree. A few now grace a couple of gift bags. It's funny how ideas come to you. As many of you know I create corsages using new and vintage elements. One of the things I do is snip off bits and pieces of new picks to add onto the corsages. After one such craft session as I was cleaning up I scooped up the pick ... View the Post

Cute As A Button Craft 4

Cute As A Button Craft 4. This craft is easy and so lovely. The ornament adds a bit of simple elegance to your tree or to top off a gift. All of the supplies can be purchased at most craft stores. Cute As A Button Craft 4 First, gather some clear glass ball ornaments. I selected the small and medium size. Take off the metal top and drop a few tiny crystals into the ornament. I like Swarovski, they really sparkle. Add some pearls of various sizes and colors. These pearls are from ... View the Post

Anthropologie Inspired Tree Topper Craft 3

Anthropologie Inspired Tree Topper Craft 3. Late last week I found myself in a certain favorite store perusing their seasonal displays. I picked up their recent catalog and found myself enamored with the Mystic Nest Tree Topper. It was a crown of sorts truly fit for a magical snow queen. Alas, it had a price tag that was also reserved for royalty. Anthropologie Inspired Tree Topper Craft 3 It made me think about my own tree topper if you call one huge velvet bow a tree topper. It ... A Bit of Bubbly Craft 1

A Bit of Bubbly Craft 1. This darling bar of soap is the perfect size to slip into a stocking or small gift bag. The price to create it is even sweeter. A Bit of Bubbly Craft 1 You will need a box of soaps that have sliding cardboard sleeves that surround each bar of soap. (I found a 3 pack for $2.99 at Marshalls.) Cut a strip of sheet music (or scrapbooking paper) to fit the cardboard sleeve and mod podge it right onto the surface. Next, dab a bit of glue on each end of your ... View the Post
