Somewhere Over The Rainbow Finding Your Perfect Color

Welcome to part two in the “makeover your office inexpensively” series. Today we are going to talk about color. Color is very personal and subjective. There is no “wrong color”. Only what appeals to you personally. So look Somewhere Over The Rainbow Finding Your Perfect Color. Somewhere Over The Rainbow Finding Your Perfect Color As an interior designer, I often have to be part marriage counselor in helping couples select colors for their home that they both can live with. In my own home, ... View the Post

A Sweet Settee That Cuts The Mustard

Last week I was visiting my favorite thrift shop to pick up a few books for a new project. Instead, I brought home a vintage settee. A Sweet Settee That Cuts The Mustard A Sweet Settee That Cuts The Mustard They were literally unloading this gem off of the delivery truck. I followed the men into the store and immediately took a picture with my phone and sent it to Mr. Décor with this message. “I know you’re not overly enthusiastic about watching tv in the wing chairs. Hi Ya

The day started out in the school office. Sweet Boy and I like to make sure that the administrative ladies know we love them. Hi Ya! The 4th graders were enjoying the Great Pumpkin Caper. Paper Rosettes

In Monday’s post I shared with you that I had covered up a decorating faux pas with a paper rosette. The Paper Rosettes are so fun and take just minutes to make. Supplies and Tutorial You will need: Three pages from a book. (For the rosettes I’ve shown it was an average sized paperback.) A hot glue gun (Although you could use regular glue and a clothespin to hold the pages in place while drying.) A bone folder (To help create a crisp crease/fold.) You can purchase bone folders at any ... View the Post

A Spooktacular Setting

I don’t think I have ever blogged about my neighborhood during Halloween. We are blessed to live in a cul ~ de ~ sac of kindness. Phyllis always sets up a candy station in her front yard first. Ponce plays music all night long and Alan delivers refreshments via a wagon and a cooler.  It’s so much fun that my kids actually prefer to remain in “the circle” and pass out candy then go begging for it door to door. Every year I make a little something special for the neighborhood kids. (Click HERE for ... View the Post
