When Words Wound Despite struggling with acne Miss Ford routinely shows her face without a drop of makeup. I myself find this truly refreshing ... View the Post

Bits of Bliss A Summer Staycation

Last Friday was Sweet Guy’s last day of school. He ended his 7th-grade year of advanced placement (AP) classes with straight A’s. I thought a little celebration was in order last Saturday morning. Creating Covered Buttons and Other Delights with Vintage Fabric Scraps Last week as I rearranged my office/sewing area I found myself looking at some wee bits of leftover fabric from the aprons I had recently made. The Ringling Mansion – Ca’ d’Zan

Last week our family took a quick trip to Sarasota, Florida to celebrate my father in law, Landen’s, 80th birthday. While I have been to Sarasota on many occasions we generally spend the time with family and rarely venture out. This time our departure flight was scheduled for late Monday afternoon. Most of the family had left on Sunday which left Monday morning free to explore. My destination was ~ Ca' d'Zan. I had heard many wonderful stories about the Ringling Mansion, Ca' d'Zan, built by ... He Puts Up With It

I am smack dab in the middle of Christmas crafting, even though two of the rooms and one of the bedrooms in our house still look like a bomb went off. He puts up with it. He Puts Up With It A pink tow truck was arranged to show up to move his truck from Arizona to Texas. This boy has no problem taking the last cookie, the last drink or anything else not nailed down. He puts up with it. Thanksgiving dinner was delayed by an hour because this girl needed social media images taken for ... View the Post
