Autumnal Touches In The Living Room

Hello, sweet friends. There is a whirlwind of activity going on this week at Storybook Cottage. We are now just one month away from Sweet Guy’s wedding. I have added some Autumnal Touches In The Living Room to cheer the space up.

Autumnal Touches In The Living Room

A few weeks ago, I shared a Colonial Williamsburg Fall-Inspired Tablescape.

As the formal dining room is part of an open plan concept that connects with the living room, I decided to use the same color palette.

The white slipcovers, from summer, were removed to reveal the turquoise upholstery.

Numerous pumpkins and favorite fall artwork in various shades of blue was added to the space.

I have several squirrel figurines that I like to use in the autumn months. Squirrels are regular visitors to the cottage.

The mantel looks a bit like a happy pumpkin patch.

Bits of moss and some fall leaves are tucked in to soften the look.

The reflection of the mantel in the Prince of Wales mirror is so pretty.

Just a few fall essentials. The feathers under glass have been collected on my daily walks with Grace.

I hope you have enjoyed this autumn tour of the living room here at Storybook Cottage.

Have a gorgeous day,

Laura

The painting above your mantle is so charming. The pumpkin patch is the cherry on top in front of it. Darling!

Laura your decor is beautiful…I love that you removed the white slip covers to reveal your pretty blue furniture. The chairs look stunning with your mantel decor. I know how busy you must be but I know you are glad you took the time for decorating. I think you need to rest a bit and perhaps enjoy a cup of tea and maybe read a good book. I have posted a recipe for butterscotch brownies and the Mitford series books on my blog.. Have you ever read any of Jan Karon’s books? Have a great October my friend. ️️

Even with all you have going on, you still take time to make your home warm and inviting! Beautiful, Laura!
