An Interview and Giveaway With Jennifer Donati
Jennifer Donati is a wonderful actress and gifted writer. Her career began at just 7 weeks old when she, along with her sister Sarah, shared the role of baby Rose Wilder on the television show Little House on the Prairie.
Jennifer was a series regular on seasons 8 and 9.
Recently Jennifer wrote a touchingly beautiful book, More Than Just The Prairie. She shares her story of heartwrenching loss, growth, and her quest for happiness.
I first met Jennifer just a little over a year ago at a Little House event and liked her immediately. But it was in reading her book that I felt she was a true kindred spirit.
Jennifer’s story of loss resonates with people all over the world. This past fall she decided to create a safe space for women to gather and share their memories. She felt that society often expects the time of grieving to end with the funeral. But that is often when the process is just truly beginning. The Fellowship of Motherless Daughters can be found on Facebook. It is a private group that is free to join.

As it is winter I thought it would be fun to sort through my rose inspired fabric scraps and create a teapot cozy to include in the website giveaway.
As well as tuck in some packets of my favorite rose tea.

I met both of you beautiful ladies in Simi and again in CT. The warm loving spirit that you both have brightens the whole room. You make everyone around you feel special, loved, and like family or old friends. Truly an honor to share in both of your journeys.

Laura, I recently found your site and I just adore you. Your interview with Jennifer was so touching. She is such a sweet soul. I haven’t been able to get a copy of her book yet. I also just recently found out while working on my genealogy thru ancestry that I am related to Laura Ingalls through a 9th Great Grandmother Faith Ingalls. Laura and I are 8th cousins 3x removed. I know it’s pretty far down the line but I have enjoyed her books since I was a child and the show was one of my favorites growing up. So you and I are related somewhere down the line. . Jennifer and Laura are two precious gems in the Little House on the Prairie Family!
My wife Emily has been a massive fan of Laura Ingalls since she was a child. She’s read the book series several times, she watched the show a billion times, she knows Laura’s life and family front to back, and most importantly she introduced me and our 18 month old daughter to Little House and changed our lives. We actually named our Daughter Elizabeth Rose after Laura and her daughter. We’ve attended the 50th Anniversary Celebration in Simi Valley last year and it was a dream come true for all of us. Nothing would warm my beloved more than to win this great beautiful gift for and to pass it on our daughter.
My daughter and I were privileged to meet both of you this past year! We attended the KY and CT reunions. We even got to meet your daughter! Your charm was only surpassed by your talented sewing abilities.

Hi my name is Lori. I met both of you ladies in Lancaster Pennsylvania last September. I’ve ordered merchandise on both of your Etsy stores. Love it all. And love you two. Ive been a LHOTP fan ever since I was a little girl. I still watch the show! It is so comforting. I also want to thank you both for continuing to write books, make homemade merchandise , and tour.
