Sunday Smiles Get Cozy

Hello sweet friends. Frost has painted our lawn to resemble a glistening ice rink several mornings this past week. Layering clothing and piling on the quilts has kept us warm. Here’s to Sunday Smiles Get Cozy.

Sunday Smiles Get Cozy

A Slow Simple Life

I am so thankful I took three weeks off. Looking back I can now see that I was completely worn out. Going forward I am going to strive to savor a slow simple life. I’m done clicking on posts titled “How To Hustle” and “This Years New Trends”.  I know what I like. I like the eclectic cozy feel of this historic townhouse.

A Warm Glow

Simple candles truly up the cozy factor. You can create a lovely winter candle in under 20 minutes.

Less Is More

While I like cozy, I don’t do well with clutter. It seems to create chaos that drains my creativity. So far this year I have gone through my kitchen and sewing room. I have also been cleaning up my Pinterest pins a little each day. I want to work on the linen closet next. Breaking things down into baby steps is helpful. This is a good guide.

A Star Anise Wreath

After clearing away the Christmas the house seems so empty. I do like to keep a bit of winter decor up. This wreath fits the bill.

A winter village, warm plaids, snowflakes and greenery…, yes please! All the details HERE.

a stone fireplace and white shelves. there is a fire in the fireplace. the mantel has a tiny house village and twinkly lights. the shelves are filled with wood, baskets and pictures. on the left is a wicker egg chair with a navy blue pillow. in the foreground is a wooden coffee table with books and candles.

I’ll be back on Tuesday or Wednesday with week 1 on the kitchen renovation. So much has happened!

Stay cozy,

Laura
