Beautiful Victorian Homes In Nashville

Hello sweet friends! Are you a fan of old homes like I am? Then you will love this post. Let’s take a look at some Beautiful Victorian Homes In East Nashville. They are located in Edgefield which was the first residential National Historic Register neighborhood in the country.

In my last post, I shared a glorious church on Russell Street in East Nashville. It shares the street with many wonderful homes built before and around the turn of the last century.

Anyone else adore all turrets, all the time?

Don’t overlook the dentil moldings and stained glass windows!

There was another home on the about 8 houses down that was very similar. I have to wonder if it was the same family or someone just hired the same architect.

The addition of green and purple paint is quite nice.

I absolutely loved this Polychrome home. If you’re unfamiliar with this term it simply means the practice of decorating architectural elements in a variety of colors.

This turret features an onion dome. I tried to imagine the main body of the home painted a soft sage green and accented with a bit of cream to bring out the glorious details.

Yellow and white homes always seem so happy.

Give Me All The Gingerbread

I am a small house lover. This one was just about perfect.

The white spandrels above the grey running trim were just lovely on this wee red gem.

The brackets and medallion cutouts on this home are amazing!

Hello gorgeous! Now technically the next few homes are Craftsman-style homes which were probably built in the early teens or twenties.

The diamond-shaped mullion windows on this blue beauty are truly breathtaking!

Its next-door neighbor was a classic brick Craftsman with gorgeous slightly tapered columns. If you enjoy this style you might like a post I wrote way back in 2008.

I hope you enjoyed these Nashville beauties! I’ll have some Portland, Oregon delights very soon.

Have a beautiful day!

I could never tire of looking at beautiful Victorian homes. It’s making me homesick for my old Victorian home (which has really been neglected & is in a depressing shape)!
