Easy Valentine Decor and More

Hello sweet friends! Welcome to the January edition of the Pinterest Challenge. This monthly event is hosted by Cindy of County Road 407. If you are visiting from Postcards From The Ridge may I say “Welcome to Storybook Cottage!” Today I am sharing Easy Valentine Decor and More.

Easy Valentine Decor and MoreEasy Valentine Decor and More

This month the challenge is a heart-shaped wreath.  Our inspiration photo comes from Capital B.

The image features:

  • A heart shape
  • Grapevine
  • Paper hearts

Heart Happy Decor

A grapevine inspired heart is VERY easy to do. I’m somewhat chuckling as I write this tutorial.

Materials used:

  • A heart-shaped grapevine wreath. (From Hobby Lobby, $4~ use a coupon!)
  • Paper hearts made from vintage sheet music.
  • Hot glue

supplies

Now I have to say I cheated a bit.

I simply reused the paper hearts that I had created for my Farmhouse Inspired Valentine Art.

Valentine Paper Art Decor To Adore

It took me just five minutes to create the wreath.

Of course, I couldn’t just stop with a simple wreath.

I decided to decorate my mantel with the grapevine and paper hearts theme.

Easy Valentine Decor and More

The chipboard letters were found at Hobby Lobby for $3.99 each. Every few weeks they are on sale for 40% off. It pays to wait!

The candlesticks were found years ago and used in many different vignettes.

Layers of grapevine, twine, and paper hearts are layered together.

The heart wreath placed on the antique sled is the perfect finishing touch!

I hope you have enjoyed this month’s Pinterest Challenge.

Oh my wow. Those little musical paper hearts have so many great applications. I love them on your wreath, and all of the other ways you used them too!
I’d love it if you’d share it at my link party this week, too! Sundays on Silverado!

Laura, I adore your heart wreath with the vintage sheet music as well as the big heart wall art over your fireplace. Anything with vintage sheet music is a favorite of mine!

Love the vintage look of your grapevine heart wreath… and how smart to reuse the paper hearts, and decorate in the same theme for your whole mantel! Pinned!

The paper hearts are too pretty not to use over and over again. Love the heart wreath you created and the garland over the mantel is gorgeous!

It’s darling, Laura. And it reminds me, I have a heart-wreath in the garage, I think! I may need to pay it a visit! Stay tuned!

Your Valentine’s Day decor looks so pretty! I remembered the heart that you made in the past to use over your mantel the second that I saw it. It’s great that you found a new use for the hearts. I also like that you decorated for Valentine’s Day without everything being pink or red.

I love your heart wreath so much! The music paper you used gives it a vintage feel. I also love when you used them to form a heart over your fireplace mantel – stunning!

I love how you kept your Valentine’s mantel monochromatic, Laura. It’s so subtle and wintry. Using music paper for the hearts is a great idea; love it on the grapevine. Fun to have you be a part of the group this month!

Why am I not one bit surprised that you used sheet music to make your Valentine’s? The entire mantle has that romantic Laura look. Hanging the wreath on the sled is supper cute.
