Enchanted Forest Party

Welcome to an Enchanted Forest Party! Last week I spent a few days helping to create a magical and very safe soiree.

Life events such as weddings, showers and more are still taking place albeit in much smaller numbers. This post will cover tablescapes, party favors, safety tips, and more!

Safety Tips

Let’s start with safety tips. In today’s world if readers feel secure then they can truly enjoy the rest of this magical post.

  • Check with your state to see if social gatherings are allowed and the maximum number of people that may attend.
  • Ask guests to self-quarantine at home for 14 days prior to the date of the party.
  • Request that all guests wear a mask.
  • Check the temperature of each person as they arrive.
  • Make sure liquid hand soap and disposable hand towels are available next to sinks.
  • Place disinfectant wipes on counters and bottles of hand sanitizers on tables.
  • Outdoor gatherings are best. If held indoors open doors and windows and use fans to circulate the air.
  • Use table linens, cups, plates, and silverware that can be washed and sterilized.
  • Have designated people, wearing masks and gloves, to plate any food, drink or dessert served.

Enchanted Forest Party

The hostess of this party wanted to create an event that was filled with delight and charm. Natural elements, forest fairies, cute creatures, and mini lights were selected to truly enchant the guests.

Setup was planned for the day before the event.

The amazing forest arch decor was created by the uber-talented Posing Pretty.

The sixteen oak trees at Storybook Cottage come in handy for creating mini stump pedestals and twig covered mason jars.

Moss mats can be found at most craft stores.

TIP: Check that all lights are in working order when setting up each centerpiece.

The Wisteria Lane dessert and snack bar had a repetition of the tablescape elements.

Enchanting Favors

Each guest received a themed party favor.

The small boxes can be found at any party and craft store. Six mini candy bars were nestled inside each box.

Various ribbons help to keep the boxes closed. Accents of mini pine cones and acorns were hot glued in place.

Nighttime in the Forest

The real magic began as night fell and all of the lights were lit.

The host had an amazing collection of uplighting.

The staircase arrangement served a dual purpose. It created a festive atmosphere but also blocked guests from going upstairs.

Three types of lighting were used on the centerpieces. Artificial votive lights were placed in the darling fairy jars. The ethereal images were created by the hostess using a Cricut. Mini light strands and candlelight offered additional ambiance.

When constructing an event centerpiece it’s a good idea to create interest at every angle.

I’ll be back on Fashion Friday with some slow stitching.

This is gorgeous — so beautifully set. I don’t think I could go to a party where we didn’t bring our own food or eat off paper. I just don’t trust people all that much to behave — the quarantine and such. But I really wish I could. I love those centerpieces. I may have to try that one myself! Great idea about the party favors and blocking off the steps with plants.

Beautiful set up, while keeping in mind all the current protocols. It can be done in a safe manner and still look spectacular. I hope all attendees had a great time. Ann

Oh Laura, this is absolutely enchanting! I have never seen anything like it! WOW! What a treat, huh?

I could study these pics for hours. I loooooove the look of awe on the beautiful lady’s face as she entered the wood.

Love it, so nice to lose oneself for a change. Thanks for the dreamy post. Big hugs.
