Hello sweet friends! We are having some April showers today. I am hoping they will bring more May flowers. Here’s to Sunday Smiles A Touch Of Green.
A Cute Cottage
Decorator Imogen Taylor has created an idyllic home full of cheerful touches and charming antiques.
A Perfect Pairing
A lovely springtime color palette is green and lavender. It feels so FRESH! Check out this garden-inspired bookcase decor created with thrift store finds.
Earlier this week we canceled our long-awaited trip to England and Ireland at the end of May. It was the right and smart thing to do. The two-week trip was to include visiting family and friends, seeing major sites, and attending the Trooping of the Color. All in the name of celebrating Sweet Guy’s graduation. I have to say I am SO proud of how well my son has accepted each and every disappointment he has faced during this difficult season. As a parent, one rainbow in this storm is the extra time spent at home with him. I know all to soon it will end when he heads to University in August.
Ireland In Color 1927
From a historical standpoint, I found this article absolutely fascinating. But the charming photographs captured my heart as well.
May you find your rainbow.

Lovely links, Laura. And I do need to pop in and check that Ireland link. It looks lovely — and the photos too.
I’m so very sorry about the trip. I know how disappointing it is and how much planning you had put into it. I have to say, you’ve raised one heck of a good kid to be able to handle all this at his age. Well done, Mom!

Wonderful links, Laura. Canceling a long anticipated trip is hard, but there will come a time for travel again some day. Keep the dream alive.

Lovely post as always, Laura. I do love those thatched roof cottages in England and Ireland. I’m so sorry you are missing your trip and celebration. That your son is good with it is a sign that you raised a bright, thoughtful, and very kind soul. ❤️
