Hello sweet friends. How is your holiday decorating coming along? I am happy to say that mine is completed. I still have Christmas cards to write and a bit of baking to do. So let’s get going with Sunday Smiles We Need A Little Christmas.
Sunday Smiles We Need A Little Christmas
It was another great week of Christmas tours. I absolutely adored this lit wooden village shared by Kindred Vintage.
Boxwood Avenue inspired me to keep my table settings simple this year.
The best use of vintage belongs to The Pink Clutch. Give me all the Shiny Brites and needlepoint pillows!
My absolute favorite Christmas kitchen belongs to the former director and fashion editor of Barneys New York Amanda Brooks. It’s cozy and inviting with a few holiday touches sprinkled here and there.
If you still need a bit more inspiration The Glam Pad shares numerous decorating ideas.
Operation Christmas Smile
I’ll leave you with a truly heartwarming story. An Idaho boy sent an Operation Christmas Shoebox to a girl in the Philippines. Fourteen years later they got married.
In Case You Missed It
On Friday I announced that I have revived my YouTube account. I am even going to take a college class on video editing. The plan is to bring you smile-inducing videos on a regular basis. The video below is my first attempt. You can subscribe HERE.
On Tuesday I revealed the 2019 holiday theme here at Storybook Cottage when I shared our Front Door Decor.
On Wednesday I shared how to make a White Christmas inspired centerpiece.
Fashion Friday featured Judy Haynes Engagement Scene ensemble.
May all your days be merry and bright!

Your video’s are so fun, and some great Christmas inspiration too.

I loved the OCC shoebox story! Those candles at the bottom of the stairs make me nervous about skirts swishing over the flames. But if they were battery-operated, that wouldn’t be a problem.

You are so cute in your video, Laura (and so are your helpers, Bob and the cameraman!). I love all the styles in your features – farmhouse, retro vintage, country, and traditional. – all! Merry Christmas season to you and yours!

Super post, Laura! I really scooped up the Zara link for Amanda Brooks after I saw that gorgeous kitchen! The shoebox story made my heart swell. Love popping in each week to see what you have for us. And I know you are going to be the next You Tube star!
