The 2019 DTA Ornament Collection
This year’s ornaments are in memory of my daughter’s dear grandmother, Lavanna Sherman. She was a big supporter of our nation’s military and the Red Cross. To honor her when you purchase an ornament a portion of the profits will go to your choice of either the USO or the Red Cross.
No More Etsy
In past years I have posted the ornaments in my Etsy shop. Unfortunately, they have once again raised their service fees. In addition, Etsy is asking sellers to provide free shipping and if they do not comply a seller will be de-prioritized by the site’s highly competitive search algorithm. For someone trying to send as much money as I can to a charitable organization, this stings a bit.
As a buyer, you may also not be aware that the form of payment preferred by Etsy is PayPal because the buyer is protected. This is indeed important to me. But perhaps the buyer isn’t aware that the service provided by PayPal is not free for the seller. They deduct a percentage from each sale as well.
So I am eliminating the Etsy middle man. All sales will be conducted through PayPal so that the buyer is protected. This way more money can go towards a worthy cause.
Ornaments For Sale
- There are 12 ornaments for sale. They are numbered and named.
- The ornaments measure approximately 6 inches tall and are 1/2″ wide.
- The ornaments are $10 each plus $3 for shipping. $13 total.
- Leave a comment with the number/name of the ornament you would like.
- Also, indicate donation preference: Red Cross or USO.
- I will mark the ornaments SOLD as quickly as I can in the post but you may want to check if another person has already claimed the ornament you desire in the comments previously.
- There will be no other ornaments offered this season.
- You will receive an invoice from PayPal. As soon as it is paid I will get your ornament in the mail and send it with tracking.
- Not recommended for children under the age of 5 due to the delicate nature.
- Since this is a charitable fundraiser ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
