Welcome to Saturday Smiles All That Glitters! Do you ever get paralyzed in your decorating? Sometimes we need good, basic ideas to jump-start our creativity such as what to put under a cloche.
Saturday Smiles All That Glitters
I think I see the beginning of a gold garland trend.
I first read THIS…
Then two days later I perused this party.
I’m turning a golden birthday this year. I think that deserves a crown. And vintage pink party dresses.
Plus this cake. You can see how this wondrous baker does it HERE.
A show I can’t wait to view is “You Are Cordially Invited” with designer Holly Holden on PBS. It recently premiered in several select cities. I have my fingers crossed that KERA in D/FW will pick it up soon. Let me know if you have seen it.
I’m making this soup today. I can’t wait to eat!
What are you up to?

The trouble with not working at a PBS station anymore is that I’m out of the loop! I have to check out “You are Coridally Invited.” Sounds like my kind of show. And THAT is EXACTLY the color pink I’ve been searching for. Not in that dress (though if I had the need, I’d snap those in a minute. Where were THEY when Kevin got married?)!
Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.

The new show sounds right up my alley! Thanks for telling us about it.
Milk your birthday for everything you can get. You deserve it.

You are going to LOVE that soup! I got a variation on that recipe from Ellen at the Scribbler Unfocused where she added a bit of alfredo sauce for a creamier texture – delish, and it freezes so well. I had to buy my noodles from Amazon as we don’t have TJ’s, but I keep them in my pantry! Have a great weekend.

Laura,
Gold garland? You may be right. I bought some faux gold holly sprays at Christmas. I’m ready for a new PBS show since this Sunday is the season finale for Victoria.
