Create Large Holiday Artwork for Mere Pennies

I’ve been adding some holiday decorating touches to the master bedroom at Storybook Cottage and our regular artwork just wasn’t working with the theme. I didn’t want just a blank wall. But while large holiday artwork is available it also generally has a large price tag. Then there is the issue of storing large art for 11 months of the year. So it was time for me to Create Large Holiday Artwork for Mere Pennies

It’s quick, easy and inexpensive!

First I needed a theme….hmm, what should I choose boys?

Cozy Christmas Franz and Rudi

I found some darling vintage Christmas images featuring dogs on Pinterest. You can find all the prints I used HERE.

The Supplies

After printing out the images, in the sizes needed, I selected some wrapping paper in my stash, scissors and double stick tape.

The supplies

Most frames have a bit of wiggle room between the glass and frame. Cut your wrapping paper to size and slide it in between to fit.

Cozy Christmas frames

This will give you a holiday-themed “mat” or background for your image.

Then just apply double stick tape to the back of your image and gently press onto the paper mat.

Once Christmas is over you can just simply take the paper down and recycle it.

I’m off to deck some more walls, how about you?
