Dollar Spot Snowman Garland

I have begun decorating in preparation for two holiday home tours I am participating in next week. Since I change my theme every year I try to make seasonal décor that isn’t expensive. This year I am creating a pastel vintage wonderland and needed a garland for my mantle. The Dollar Spot Snowman Garland is perfect!

Don’t you just love the Target Dollar Spot?

I found these cute felt snowman for just one dollar. The silver tinsel was from the Spritz party line and was also just $1. I had the sparkle pom poms left over from another project but you can find them at most craft stores for just a few dollars.

How To Make The Garland

I used white upholstery cording that I had in my stash to attach the snowman and poms to with a hot glue gun.

Add a bit of silver trim was added to the hat. Pom poms make for cute “buttons”.

The entire project took just 10 minutes to make. The hardest part was measuring where to place the poms so that they were even. (But don’t look too closely. 🙂

I’m pretty happy with my $2 Snowman Garland.

I am also very happy to be featured in the 2016 Country Sampler Christmas Decorating magazine.

Pretty darned cute! Love that Target dollar section! And love the boxes. I've got some of those stashed away that I bought to do something similar with last year. Now WHERE in the world ARE they?

Congratulations on being featured! I'll try to find that issue — I'll bet there are tons of ideas but none as cute as yours!

Well, Congratulations on being in the magazine! Well done. But then again, what took them so long? lol Your decorations and crafty ideas are always amazing and well deserve the spotlight.
Your garland is so cute. I like the tinsel trims and pompoms to sparkle them up.

This is just adorable, Laura!!! I love how you embellished those sweet guys! Now…how do you keep your snowmen from flipping over? This happens to all of the garlands I make.

I'm looking forward to your tours!
