Pes (Peace) to the World

Inspiration

Pes (Peace) to the World

This post was inspired by six-year-old Sweet Boy and his wish for Pes (Peace) to the World. The Drum Major Instinct If you want to be important—wonderful.  If you want to be recognized—wonderful. If you want to be great—wonderful. But recognize that he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. That's a new definition of greatness.   And this morning, the thing that I like about it: by giving that definition of greatness, it means that everybody can be great, (Everybody) ... Sewing Room Makeover

I recently received a business call from a woman who said she had rearranged her sewing room until she was blue in the face and still could not get it to look right. She said that she had a $300 budget and asked if I could I help. She needed a Sewing Room Makeover. Sewing Room Makeover At the consultation I immediately knew it would be a fun job, but very challenging. She had several knick-knacks that were very precious to her and they would all have to be incorporated in the room ... View the Post

Olive Annies

This is Olive Annies. It is an adorable shop located in the historic Coronado district of downtown Phoenix. The owner, (or "the finder" as she calls herself) Lani Griffin, spent 9 months renovating this quaint, adorable teeny, bungalow. Olive Annies She is one crafty queen. They now hang in my laundry room.  Before and Afters of 2008 Here's the other print. You can also catch a glimpse of the curtains I made in this ... View the Post

Happy New Year Part 2

Should auld acquaintances be forgotten? I think not! I leave my Christmas decorations up until after January 6th. It likes to mingle with my New Year's Eve decor. Happy New Year Part 2. Happy New Year Part 2 January 6th marks the Epiphany~when the Magi arrived at the stable. (It is also the 12th day of Christmas, 12 Drummers Drumming...). Leaving up our Christmas decor is a very European way to celebrate, it also makes my German Lutheran Grandmother happy and helps to keep the January ... View the Post

Decorating with Children

Decorating with Children, it can be done, I promise! For our New Year's Eve table , enlisted Sweet Boy's help. He's seven and all boy, but oddly enough likes to help decorate. Trying to not include him could be disastrous on many levels. For the table I channeled my inner Frosty. Decorating with Children We began by creating a table runner made out of various doilies that I had on hand. They reminded me of snowflakes. I then added some tarnished sparkle in the form of unpolished ... View the Post
