This Blogger Creates in a Closet Made Over for $15

This is my guest bedroom and there is a crafty little secret hidden in its midst. This Blogger Creates in a Closet Made Over for $15. This Blogger Creates in a Closet Made Over for $15 I create behind the guest bedrooms closet doors. I truly adore having an area where I can work on various crafting and sewing projects and can close the door on any creative messes if I need to stop for awhile. The entire transformation from a closet to a creative space cost just $15. It now holds all of my ... View the Post

Ghastly Goodwill Find Gone Gorgeous

I recently went and cruised the aisles of Goodwill. I was on the hunt for a small shelf. This post is a Ghastly Goodwill Find Gone Gorgeous. Ghastly Goodwill Find Gone Gorgeous I found this 1980’s country cutie for 50 cents. The bottles required serious muscle to pry off. I had already emptied out their ancient straw flowers. The cobwebs were wiped away and the cubbies were spray painted it white. I had envisioned that the shelf would hold these turn of the century pin cushion dolls that ... View the Post

Birds Nest & Burlap Wreath Tutorial

Ugly Scene Organizing the Pantry

Up until a few days ago, this was our kitchen pantry. It was SO bad I was almost to humiliated to share this picture. Almost. Ugly Scene Organizing the Pantry. Ugly Scene Organizing the Pantry In my defense I was going to school full time, working, volunteering, and still trying to fulfill my roles as wife, mother, maid, gardener, and chauffeur. A close up is even worse. Shield your eyes if you have a weak stomach. Now I know how to organize. I am actually a trained professional. The ... View the Post

Carrie Leaves the Penthouse SATC 2

A little over two years ago I wrote a post entitled “Carrie Bradshaw Gets A New Apartment”. That post continues to receive a few hits a week. I felt it was my sacred design duty to write about the decor in the sequel. So I viewed  Sex In The City 2 immediately upon its release. The opening scene finds our heroine leaving the apartment she shares with Mr. Big. I of course desperately love the Halston Heritage dress. The Chanel clutch isn’t too bad either. Here is Carrie Leaves the Penthouse SATC ... View the Post

A Patriotic Party

As Gunn's, our Scottish family loves to wear its plaid! Here is A Patriotic Party. A Patriotic Party When Mr. Decor retired we were ready to celebrate. I was blessed that my airman came home from every single one of his missions. We decided to go against the average ho-hum series of speeches and put a Scottish twist on things as a nod to his heritage. His clan motto is “Either Peace or War”. Very befitting the military don’t you think? The actual ceremony was held in a hangar large ... View the Post
