Yes, there is a right and wrong way to paint your doors and trim. Let’s talk about what not to do. 1. If there is something sticky on the door, such as leftover adhesive, take the time to remove it. Use either a solvent or a gentle sanding block. Do NOT just paint over it. 2. If there is a hole~ fill it, sand it, then paint it. Do not ignore the hole and just paint over it. 3. Take the time to fill, or at the very least, sand smooth the knicks and gouges on the door trim. Do not ... View the Post
Inexpensively Updating Our Old Brass Door Handles
Turn baby turn! My love for our “new” oil rubbed bronze door handles has created a disco sized inferno of love in my heart. Let me share the dated “before” shot. These cheap builders grade brass atrocities could be found on every single door and closet in our home. Mr. Décor and I removed the door knobs as we were in the process of repainting all of our interior doors and trim. (More on that next post.) Autumn Arrived At My Front Door For Under $10.00
Welcome to our 2013 Fall front porch. In this post, I will share how Autumn Arrived At My Front Door For Under $10.00. The colors selected are a bit unconventional for autumn with shades of turquoise, teal, and pops of yellow. You may remember the front porch I created last Fall that was also under $10.00. So a challenge was definitely on. A Step Up This year's vignette began when I spied this little ladder at Goodwill. At first, I thought it was a tool for the employees. Then I ... View the Post
