A Hot Cocoa Bar and Other Kitchen Vignettes

A big hit at the Perfect Cookie Exchange was A Hot Cocoa Bar and Other Kitchen Vignettes. A Hot Cocoa Bar and Other Kitchen Vignettes The colors I used in decorating this year are candy apple red and soft aqua. I carried this happy palette throughout our home and into the kitchen. A wire tiered rack on the center island contains new mason jars filled with marshmallows, candy canes, and cinnamon sticks. Vintage mason jars were brightened with a bit of gingham ribbon. A Perfect Cookie Exchange

It is not too often that I use the word perfect. But yesterday’s cookie exchange was magical, delicious, lovely and well….perfect! During this busy holiday season, I love the idea of making just one type of cookie and receiving a variety of delicious cookies in return. Here is A Perfect Cookie Exchange. A Perfect Cookie Exchange An online invitation was sent out a few weeks prior to the event. The turn out was fantastic. Nametags On the entryway table, I had nametags waiting for all ... Be Bigger This Christmas

This post is not about Christmas cookies, chocolate Chanukah coins, eggnog, fudge, French onion dip or any of the 1000 other holiday goodies this season. It is about being a better person, having a bigger heart. Bliss

It’s Beginning….

Yesterday great. I slept in (well, for me) got Sweet Guy off to school and then spent the morning catching up on blogs. It’s Beginning…. I probably wouldn’t have gotten dressed but I needed to go the middle school for their annual holiday feast. What a lunch! I spent the afternoon deep cleaning and decorating. Dinner was Chinese Food. I almost didn’t think the day could get any better. Then the Fashionista sent me this: It’s Beginning…. This semester I ended up with 2 A’s and a B+.  ... View the Post

Nicholas’ 669 Children

Nicholas’ 669 Children

You may have recently seen an advertisement for a new film in which a man inadvertently fathers 533 children. It’s a comedy and there may be some sort of lesson or message to be gleaned. I’m not sure as I have not seen the film. However, there is a man that I hope Hollywood does make a movie about. Perhaps it will be titled Nicholas’ 669 Children. One can only hope.
