The Living Room Challenge Week 2

Oh, this past week just flew by! In addition to the Easter holiday, we also celebrated the Fashionista’s birthday and went to Round Top, Texas, for 2 1/2 days for the antique fair. That left just 2 days to work on the living room in between taking two tests, writing two papers, and trying to keep the family fed. Whew! How To Create a Smooth Painted Finish on an Exterior Metal Door

While place cards may seem old-fashioned it gives your guest the feeling that they really matter to you…that you were excited about their arrival. Since place cards make it possible to avoid the “where am I ... View the Post

Provençal Buffet Receives a Valentine Makeover

Slowly but surely the living room is coming together. I am trying to first use what I have before buying anything new. This post covers Provençal Buffet Receives a Valentine Makeover. Provençal Buffet Receives a Valentine Makeover Three years ago I gave a dated Thomasville buffet a makeover. The piece worked beautifully as a center island in our very small kitchen in Arizona. Here in Texas, I tried working this piece into the kitchen as an island once more (no room). Then it was ... View the Post

A Warm and Easy Gift for Friends and Neighbors

Time truly got away from me this year my friends. I knew many of our neighbors would soon be leaving for the holidays, we had house guests arriving and I just could not spend 2-3 days in the kitchen this year baking. So here is A Warm and Easy Gift for Friends and Neighbors. A Warm and Easy Gift for Friends and Neighbors This fairly quick craft saved me. Back in early November, I had pinned this darling present topper from Homespun With Heart. Completely adorable. Also completely ... View the Post
