Day 2 Cabin Style

Welcome to Day 2 of 31 Days of Décor To Adore. I imagine that most of my regular readers (aka Adorable People) thought I would kick off this series with a form of French style. That style will be coming,  but given that it is fall and my thoughts have turned to cozy and comfortable nesting I could think of nothing better than Day 2 Cabin Style. Now as rustic and charming as you might think this image of a tin-roofed cabin propped up on cinder blocks, with a protruding rusted stovepipe ... View the Post

Fall Fairyland Forest

There is nothing like capturing a bit of autumnal bliss under glass. Let's create a Fall Fairyland Forest. Fall Fairyland Forest Last Christmas I, along with 8000 other bloggers, created a bit of holiday happiness in a glass container. I chose a gumball jar for my creation.   I wondered if I could create something similar for autumn. Then I thought “Yes! Now I know what to do with those leftover plastic deer and bottle brush trees!” But the trees needed to be in autumnal colors ... View the Post

Along Came A Spider

Hello friends! Thank you so very much for your kind comments about yesterday’s fantle” ~ faux fall mantle. As promised here is the easy peasy tutorial on how to create your own spooktacular web. How Do You Like My Fantel? A Faux Fall Mantel

Hello friends! Every holiday I see gorgeous mantles done up for the season and it makes me long for a fireplace. But honestly, we don’t really need one here in Phoenix. But I did create something similar. How Do You Like My Fantel? A Faux Fall Mantel. A few weeks ago I came across a lovely image of a shelf decorated for fall and I read a phrase that was new to me ~ “fantel” a faux mantel. Where have I been? This word concoction has been in use for over a year! I liked it so much I thought ... View the Post

A Garden of Autumnal Splendor

It’s that time of year again ~all my favorite blogs start showcasing their fall finds and I turn orange with envy. It hard to envision fall when the temperature is still 100 degrees plus here in Phoenix. Dreaming of A Garden of Autumnal Splendor. A Garden of Autumnal Splendor Thankfully I just got back from attending my cousin Sarah’s wedding in Las Vegas. We arrived a day early and since I am not a gambler I headed to one of my favorite spots, the Bellagio Conservatory. Every ... View the Post

Swap Soiree

Today I am turning another year older. I always feel so blessed to do so. So I am celebrating with a Swap Soiree. Swap Soiree I mentioned before that we recently downsized. It is SO freeing to get rid of a bunch of stuff. But the hard part is getting rid of a bunch of stuff. Really nice stuff that you think “I wish I knew someone who would appreciate this good stuff.” The premise of a Swap Soiree is you invite your décor loving friends over and ask them to bring one item (or more! More! ... View the Post
