Frank Lloyd Wright and Taliesin West

There are many wonderful places to visit here in Arizona. In the Scottsdale area, is Frank Lloyd Wright and Taliesin West. It was the winter home and school created by the master architect. Frank Lloyd Wright and Taliesin West I first went to Taliesin West in May 2006. My cousin and his family were visiting from the east and like me adore all things creative. This is my son and his darling cousin near the entrance. Due to health reasons, Mr. Wright decided to create a school in the ... View the Post

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Last year I joined forces with a local NOCC (National Ovarian Cancer Coalition) chapter to help create a greater awareness of this deadly disease. On the website, they have a "test your knowledge" quiz about ovarian cancer and I will tell you that when I first took the test regarding the symptoms of ovarian cancer, I failed. Mamma Mia and the Greek Mediterranean

Mamma Mia and the Greek Mediterranean The weekend had me in eager anticipation to go to the movies. The object of my theatrical affection was Mamma Mia! the movie. What's not to love? I have no doubt that it contributed immensely to my chosen profession of interior design. In Arizona, they have a program called Art Masterpiece which provides parents the opportunity to present art to their children's class. I didn't hesitate to volunteer. The biggest challenge for me is coming up with projects ... View the Post

Rose Bowl Treasures

Sunday was a wonderful day at the Rose Bowl flea market. We arrived a little after 8 am and it was already hot, hot, hot! Perhaps you would like to see the Rose Bowl Treasures. My friend T was laughing about my cart, but in a short matter of time, she was helping me fill it up. I was excited to find a terrific barkcloth liner for the cart. I have been thinking about sewing one up for ages, but have not had the time. Rose Bowl Treasures The vendors had an assortment of things to ... View the Post

Flora, Fauna And Other Fine Things

Flora, Fauna And Other Fine Things. I almost passed right by this orchid trained to grow out of the tree. After that, I began to pay more attention and found this same treatment in numerous yards located in Key West.  Flora, Fauna And Other Fine Things The tropical color was just breathtaking.  I wonder if this homeowner ever gets asked for directions? Does anyone know why so many chickens roam freely in Key West?  It is almost a requirement that all tourists visit ... View the Post
