A Favorite 45 Birthday Party It Will Spin You Right Round

It had been far too long since I had seen all my wonderful friends. Where does the time go? I knew before the summer was out and I was back in school that I wanted to host a gathering. Why not have all my favorites on my 45th? I sent out handcrafted invitations a few weeks ago. A Favorite 45 Birthday Party It Will Spin You Right Round. De Witt Museum and the Summer Gardens & Attire at Colonial Williamsburg

Coming near the end of our trip there was one place I had been looking forward to visiting, the DeWitt Museum at Colonial Williamsburg. When I was last at Colonial Williamsburg I was so busy photographing the holiday wreaths, interiors, and fashions that I ran out of time. I was determined to go there and had heard it was a museum that children would enjoy. Royal Nurseries and Toys

This will be the final royal themed post of a weeklong series marking the celebratory birth of Prince George of Cambridge. It was, far and away, my favorite post to research and write. Royal Nurseries and Toys The first ten years of Prince George’s great grandmother, Her Majesty the Queen, life was fairly normal. There was really no thought given to Princess Elizabeth inheriting The ... View the Post

Royal Maternity Style

Today's post is on Royal Maternity Style. Prior to Princess Diana it was not considered in good taste to view members of the Royal family while they were in “a delicate condition”. Indeed no mention was made of the Queen’s condition while she was expecting Princess Anne. The Queen’s sister, Princess Margaret, was captured going into a theater in 1961 and the image was almost scandalous. Royal Babies What’s in a name?

Yesterday the Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son. The announcement was made on the Palace’s Facebook and twitter accounts as well as the London BT Tower. Now the world awaits: Royal Babies What’s in a name? Ah but you have to love the hospital sending out a traditional town crier. Royal Babies What’s in a name? The easel at Buckingham Palace held an official announcement that provided the baby’s weight and time of birth. But no mention was made of the young prince’s ... View the Post

Crossing the Delaware, Delicious Eats and a Darling Dress Shop

On a bright and glorious morning I crossed the Delaware. But it was over this bridge not via a boat. Less drama for sure. All at once we left Pennsylvania and found ourselves in Lambertville, New Jersey. This is Jersey? Surely not based on what the “Shore” and certain “Housewives” will tell us, but yes, this is beautiful New Jersey. Lambertville is considered the antique capital of New Jersey and I certainly believe it. The architecture is fabulous. The period details found in dentil ... View the Post
