Hello sweet friends, today I have a special travel-themed post for you. Recently, the Fashionista and I took a trip to Salem, Massachusetts. Our primary purpose for the visit was to photograph the reveal shots for this year’s upcoming costume extravaganza. But we also couldn’t resist A Little Hocus Pocus In Salem.

It was bequeathed to to the Essex Institute for the purpose of establishing a free school of botany.
The Essex Institute eventually merged with the Peabody Essex Museum in 1992.
The gardens are free to tour on the weekend.
In the garden you can several notable surrounding structures including The First Church in Salem.
The current version of the church was built in built in 1836.
