A Fast and Fun Spring Arrangement

Hello sweet friends! ! Welcome to the February edition of the Pinterest Challenge. This monthly event is hosted by the fabulous Cindy of County Road 407. If you are coming over from Our Southern Home let me say, “Welcome to Storybook Cottage”. Christy’s spring vignette was so lovely. Today’s post here on DTA features a A Fast and Fun Spring Arrangement.

This Month’s Inspiration Photo

This month’s theme is a Spring Lantern. Our inspiration photo was created by Ann of On Sutton Place.

The image features:

  • Lantern
  • Seagrass tray
  • Straw rabbit
  • Carrots
  • White pitcher
  • Spring floral pick
  • Green grass

On Sutton Place

This month I knew I would have no problem recreating this cute arrangement.

I have similar bunnies that have made their appearance on DTA numerous times. Two were most recently featured in a spring tablescape.

I also have a set of similar lanterns that were featured on a fall home tour.

Great design elements and accessories should be used over and over in various seasons. They are like wardrobe staples. Invest once and enjoy forever!

A Fast and Fun Spring Arrangement

For the first arrangement I began with very similar elements to the inspiration photo.

A Fast and Fun Spring Arrangement

I started with a seagrass tray. As this surface is quite a bit smaller than that of the inspiration photo I used just one lantern and bunny. The white pitcher held a carrot pick.

A Fast and Fun Spring Arrangement

I added in my own flair by elevating the pitcher with some antique books and including a few moss orbs.

A Fast and Fun Spring Arrangement

It took me less than 10 minutes to gather the items together.

Arrangement Take Two

I then thought to try creating an arrangement with some wire cages I’ve also had for ages.

second arrangement

This is a good case of something looking much cuter in person. In the photographs the bunnies get a bit lost in the busyness of the cages.

That is the beauty of inspiration photos. They encourage you to think creatively. I love to try and use what I have.

My full spring home tour will debut next Tuesday, March 7th.

Up next is White Arrows Home. You will love Kristin’s spring and Easter project.

These are both darling, Laura, though I’m a big fan of the first most of all. I may be inspired!

    Laura
These vignettes are both just darling. I can’t decide which I like the best. The smaller bunnies are just adorable.

Laura, I love how you tried different ways to style the arrangement with different lanterns. Both look so pretty.

How fun to do two different ways for this challenge! The added “necklace” around the first large bunny is adorable. Did you add it? That little creative ditty seems like something you’d think of and do. Love it! And I love the double lanterns with the smaller bunnies too. At first glance I was concerned. I thought those bunnies were made of human hair and I was like, oh boy, she’s gone and done stepped over the edge. LOL! Thankfully you’re safe. Everything looks fun and festive. Happy Spring Laura! pinned

I take that back. It seems I can’t pin an image. Let me know if that changes!

Laura, I love both of your bunny lantern vignettes!! It’s interesting how just changing the lantern really changes the whole look. Very sweet!!

    Enjoy your lovely lantern decor,
