Hello sweet friends! I am once again participating in the Budget-Friendly Recipes Hop hosted by my dear friend Marty of A Stroll Thru Life. If you are new to Decor To Adore may I say โWelcome!โ Today I am sharing a step-by-step DIY Halloween Charcuterie Board.
DIY Halloween Charcuterie Board
Here at Storybook Cottage, we are gearing up to take the kitchen down to the walls. Most of the contents of the cabinets have been boxed up. So this month I needed to come up with a fun food contribution that didn’t require an oven.
While I have presented charcuterie boards before HERE and HERE I only shared the finished boards. Not how they were created.
For this Halloween board, I settled on a color palette of orange, black, green, and white. Here is a short video of the food I selected.
Step 1
- Select a charcuterie board, a tray, plate, or basket. If you are concerned about it being food safe you can line it with cling wrap or wax paper.
- Position your centerpiece. (I decided that the scooped-out pumpkin holding the dip was cute.)
- Anchor the board on the ends. This can be done with serving tools, bowls, dishes, etc.
Step 2
- Add your largest platter.
- Balance the platter with rows of crackers, dried fruit, etc.
- Add in a small bowl to balance the pumpkin at the top.
Step 3
- Time to add the meats and cheeses.
- Add texture and form by rolling up the meat or folding it accordion style.
Step 4
- Fill in the empty spots. (Grapes and blackberries were used.)
- Create enticing interest with special accents. (Cookies and peeled tangerine pumpkins with celery stems and mint leaves fit the bill.)
Step back and admire your work!
Then dig in!
The variety of ingredients actually make a complete meal that is fairly healthy and balanced.
What would you eat first?
Have a bootiful day!

This is super cute and delicious, too! I would rather have a good charcuterie board than a regular dinner and this one is a feast for the eyes as well as the mouth! Can I come to your party?!
