Last night Mr. Decor and I went to the high-end grocery store for our weekly date night. We picked interesting items from their deli and ate it in their charming seating area. As we returned home the thermometer read 88 degrees. This morning it is in the low 40’s. Hurray! Autumn is finally here. Just in time for Saturday Smiles The Big Chill.
Saturday Smiles The Big Chill
Now that it is finally once again sweater weather I realized that I had no idea what the 2019 Fall Autumn Trends were. I can totally get on board with cropped straight jeans, square-toed shoes, plaid, and DARK florals. The key for me is to use the trends in a style that is age-appropriate.
Hello Marigold Sunshine
The Fashionista recently moved into a large, circa 1920’s Arts and Crafts style, bungalow in Nashville. Her closet has no doors and we have been seeking options. I absolutely adore this Sunburst Style made from bi-fold doors and molding. The creators, Studio DIY, also did a similar treatment in their master bedroom and provided instructions HERE.
Creatively Inspired
If you are in need of five quick ideas for a fall refresh this Hi-End post is perfect. I was inspired to consider taking a section of wallpaper and frame it. You can also purchase the lovely pre-made option for $2,269.50.
Grazing Gorgeousness
I love a good charcuterie board. The Fashionista has made several over the years for DTA. My favorite was probably the 2019 New’s Years Eve version.
So it should come as no surprise that I am a smitten kitten for this Pumpkin Grazing Board. I can’t wait to do this for our next movie night.
What To Watch
I recently came across a charming movie that, once again, I was surprised that I had never heard of before. The 2016 gem This Beautiful Fantastic tells the story of a young woman who dreams of being a children’s author and forms an unlikely friendship with a cantankerous, rich old widower.
Enjoy the long Columbus Day weekend.
I’ll be back on Tuesday.

Enjoy your weekend! That board looks lovely but I am so lazy that by the end of the week if I do try to watch a movie I usually fall asleep eating what ever I can scavenge out of the fridge or cabinets! lol
Thank you for the lovely inspiration and the updates on the trends for autumn. Always fun to stop by and see what you are up to! Cheers! 🙂

Yes!! This Beautiful Fantastic was a delightful movie that I saw just last week. So I glad I have been watching Downton Abbey to fully appreciate the lead actress in this movie

I used a roman shade as a closet door once. When down, it appears as if there’s a large window! I acquired them from IKEA terribly cheaply. You two are so clever, you could probably make them from pretty fabric and voila! Wall art!
An artist gave me the remains of 39 wallpaper books, so I have framed wallpaper pages in two rooms. I think the black and white and silver pages work especially well in my powder room!

Yay for dark florals, plaid and straight crop jeans. Good news for me is that all I have to find is a knee length trench type coat and I’ll be in style with my short self. Love the charcuterie boards too. I wonder if they wash the branches before using them? hmmm.
