How Anthro is lovely

The Fashionista has finished her summer internship. It resulted in a job with a sister store.Woohoo! I have to be the proud mom and show you a few of her efforts. Although I must apologize for the quality of the photos. I think it has something to do with the model featured in this shot. How Anthro is lovely.

Why do I think it is this particular person? He left evidence that he used mom’s camera and now the camera is not working properly. Hmmm.

Ok, back to the first shot. I am so proud of my girl. She learned to use a drill and a saw ~as well as a hammer. She painted and helped construct the arch of orange sticks featured in the first shot. Here is a close-up. Holy sticks Batman!

Each and every lantern was hung by my girl.

She also worked with maps and created street signs.

Wall of moss anyone?

How Anthro is lovely
More maps and globes. I now have such a greater appreciation for what goes into store displays.

How Anthro is lovely

Love truly is in the details.

How Anthro is lovely
Of course, I had to take a moment to shop while I was there. Sweet Boy entertained himself as well.

“R” you “Quite” talented? I think so. Well done my girl.

In other news, we had an unwelcome intruder trying to share our swimming space. My hero, Mr. Decor, tried to reason with the scaly jerk and let him know that he was the only man allowed in the pool with me.

Alas, the thought of other waters was too much for Lucifer the lizard and he drowned himself.

Fantastic displays by the Fashionista! I always love going into Anthro for the displays as much as for the shopping. I'm not so sure about that lizard though.

My sister used to work as the display coordinator (or whatever it's called) at Anthropolgie, and her displays were always so fascinating. I remember helping her roll a bunch of felt balls and tying pieces of felt together to make felt chandeliers one year.
    Neat displays! Thanks for sharing.

I love the lanterns all hung like that. So very cool!

Oh, goodness a lizard in the pool! But, at least, it wasn't an alligator!

Ewwwww. I hate lizards. You could have totally left that part out. But it looks like your daughter did a great job with the store.

There's no Anthro store near where I live, but I visited one in Boise this summer. I loved the displays and kudos to your daughter for her designs which you showed. You must be so proud of her.

What a great job your little girl did!
I also had to tell you that your son's lego creation stopped my six yo boy in his tracks with an exclamation of, “That's cool!”
Have an awesome day, friend! 🙂

Love the pictures. Yeah I don't think I'll ever get over the loss of my mom. She was everything to the family and since she's been gone, I'd say there is no family. It's broken. 36 years for you, I can't even imagine how you must feel or felt growing up. I'm so sorry, but it's probably made you the strong person you are today, and a better more attentive MOm. I try to always see the bright side of it all. My mom is no longer here suffering. She is with her Mom and Dad happy. I try to not be selfish, but it's hard!
