This Saturday Sweet Guy turns 16! I want to make the day as special as possible for him. We plan on letting him sleep in late and then have a delicious start to the day. I’ve been collecting tons of favorite fall brunch ideas that I thought you would enjoy too.
Start With The Tablescape
A good starting point in the planning of any seasonal brunch or dinner party is selecting how the table will be decorated. This can help eliminate a big portion of anxiety people may have when they think about hosting a group of friends at their home.
By setting a pretty table your guests will instantly feel special and take delight in seeing your creation. So even if you end up ordering pizza they know you cared to make an effort.
The table can often be set a day or two in advance. You can start by laying out the table linens and setting the plates, glasses, and cutlery. Then gorgeous flowers can be added the day before like in this lovely Dutch still life inspired gathering.
Pick a color palette. Often the season can help dictate what to choose. Isn’t this persimmon and blood orange tablescape perfect for an autumn brunch?
Bright, happy colors can be such fun at a brunch.
Don’t you adore the copper paired with the seeded eucalyptus garland on the wooden table?
For a more masculine feel, antlers are a perfect accent piece.
It’s All About The Food
The beauty of brunch is that you absolutely can pick up a pre-baked quiche, fresh fruit, a few delicious pastries and call it done.
If you want to make a bit more of an effort here are some fantastic food starting points such as smashed blackberry and goat cheese toast.
This recipe of apple crisp stuffed baked apples would also make your home smell so amazing.
I like recipes that can be made in advance and Cheesy Tater Tot Breakfast Bake looks like a winner.
Ditto for the Pumpkin French Toast Casserole.
Oh, my mouth is watering just looking at this photo of Maple Bacon Sweet Potato Hash.
Sweet Guy loves yogurt and topping it with pumpkin spice granola would be such a treat.
Big heart eyes for donuts. Brown sugar glazed apple cinnamon baked donuts look so good!
A healthy but gorgeous seasonal salad is Butternut Squash, Pomegranate and Goat Cheese Spinach Salad with Red Wine Vinaigrette.
Favorite Fall Brunch Ideas
The cute award goes to acorn donut holes.
To wash everything down you could set up a pretty apple cider bar.
I’ll be setting up an outdoor scene like a did for a special fall moment.
Here’s to al fresco fall brunches!

One thing that worked well for my GS was to provide plain donuts and let them powder/sugar/glaze them themselves. I made a simple maple syrup (real thing) powdered sugar and vanilla glaze…..
