It somehow never fails that I am always moving a child of mine in the relentless heat of a summer day in July. These past few days we moved Sweet Guy out of his first college apartment. It was bittersweet. It seems like only yesterday we were getting him settled. He is now temporarily home as he finishes his last semester. I am way overdue in enjoying a few lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer. This weekend I hope to putter about in my new sewing/crafting space. Here’s to Friday Favorites Moving Through Summer.
Friday Favorites Moving Through Summer
This Country Home is chock full of charm. The garden swing, the kitchen, the blue bedroom!
Easy Summer Dinners
I have pinned several of the recipes featured in this post. Quick and easy are what I need right now.
It’s wedding season. I’m currently drawn to articles featuing lovely reception details. This celebration in Rhode Island was absolutlely breathtaking. But many of the ideas could be downscaled for a lovely al fresco dinner. Once there you can scroll down to see all the incredible images.
The Cutest Craft
Although these easy paper seashells are intended to be a craft for kids I would love to make several as small party favors. Get the templates HERE.
A Charming Reading Nook
You have to see this incredible transformation of an unused linen closet. I could sit there for hours!
In Case You Missed It
After 3 long months we have new flooring!
McCall’s M8257
Over on Instagram I shared a blouse made using a vintage, circa 1976, pattern. It was created from a worn out tablecloth. It now has a chic second life!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Laura thanks for sharing your beautiful new floors. The move back home by your son made me chuckle as all my kids at one time or another moved back home. They are all settled in their own homes now …but I kinda of liked another “go” at being with my adult children before they ended up cutting the apron strings for good.
Stay cool my friend and have a great week-end.
