Hello sweet friends, how are you? We received a touch of snow this morning here at Storybook Cottage. I still need to make one more trip to the grocery before I start the pie baking on Wednesday. Until then here’s to Sunday Smiles A Cozy Thanksgiving.
Little Cat Lodge
This 100-year-old site located at the base of Catamount Mountain in Hillsdale, New York opened just this past fall. The details are truly charming!
Pumpkin Parfaits
Truth be told I’d rather have apple than pumpkin pie. But these little parfaits look oh so good!
Cozy Fireside Tablescape
My friend Rita has a flair for fireside tablescapes. She’s a true master of cozy layering.
Easy Thanksgiving Centerpiece
Depending on what grows in your backyard (or that of a friend) this pretty centerpiece could be practically free!
Transitional Decor
I love decor that can work all thru the holidays. Liz Marie has collected several gorgeous ideas.
I’ll be back on Tuesday with a fun holiday craft.

In Case You Missed It
The #ALittleWomenHoliday series kicked off this past Friday with a post titled Beth’s Basket and Domestic Experiences.
Here is the accompanying video that shares how to make Beth’s Squash, gifts for neighbors and a basket liner.

Sounds like you are well prepared for your Thanksgiving weekend coming up. We celebrated our Thanksgiving last month but I like to make a special, little meal to celebrate your Thanksgiving as well in November while watching the big parade on the TV. It is a moment of calm before the Christmas celebrations start in full swing. I am not a really big fan of pies of any sort so those little parfaits look quite tempting. Instead of dessert after a big supper I am thinking those would be nice after a bowl of turkey soup as a nice finish to a lighter-ish meal or along with a cuppa tea with some friends. You need to be able to savour and enjoy something so delightful.
Enjoy your week and don’t work too hard preparing your feast. You have had a busy time and have a busy Christmas season ahead. 🙂

Laura, thank you so much for featuring my Thanksgiving tabkescape. It is such a hectic time, and so many in my family are sick, I just pray we get through the holidays whole. We are all blessed with so much, and our health tops them all. Wishing you a blessed Thanksgicing with your family.
