Yesterday I spent a lovely day with my friend Dartanyan. It was a Featherweight spa day for the new to me sewing machine. We cleaned, we oiled and now my girl is repaired and ready to sew!!! It felt deep in my bones good. Today is full of Sunday Smiles The Repair Shop.
The repair of the 60+ year machine made me think about one of my favorite quotes. Perspective is such a powerful thing.

I need to get out in the garden and start clearing away the weariness of winter. Plant some hope for spring. This was such an inspiring garden.

I am counting the minutes until I go see EMMA later this week at the theater. I have heard only good things and that the interior set design is perfect Georgian bliss.
Wear The Lipstick
I have always shied away from bright lipstick colors. My list of why was long. After reading THIS POST and getting called out on “I could never pull that off.” I decided to try one day. So I pulled out the Sisley lipstick that my dear friend Donna had spoiled me with. Le Phyto-Rouge 42. The cashier at Wal Mart wanted details. My dry cleaner was YES GIRL!!!!! Mr. Decor…well, let’s just say he soon happily sported a ruby red lip.
So… Wear the lipstick.

If you need a show that you and your significant other can watch together look no further than The Repair Shop. There has not been a single episode that I haven’t been completely enchanted. Mr. Decor and I regularly complain of sawdust getting in our eyes during reveals.

I just found The Repair Shop on Netflix a month or so ago and my husband and I love it too! It’s such a relaxing and entertaining show to watch.
Another great person to watch is MyMechanics. This guy in Switzerland shows how he restored antique tools and gadgets. Very satisfying to watch him remove rust, shine up old metal and even make new parts. No talking, just wonderful restoration sounds with captions. He is on Instagram and YouTube.
I have the Repair Shop on my watch list. Glad to know it’s got a good Laura recommendation — you’ve never let me down before! Hoping to see Emma as soon as it’s here. Maybe it will come next week!
I have to come back and reread this one like a magazine. So much material that interests me. That garden is lovely!
