Recently the family took a trip to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. It is a magical place Where Giraffes Eat Out Of Your Hand.
Where Giraffes Eat Out Of Your Hand
The wildlife center has a 9.5-mile scenic drive.
There are two lanes traveling one way.
Since you drive your own car you can view the animals as quickly or as slowly as you would like.
We stopped often so it took about two hours.
Some animals are viewed from a distance.
While others like to get up close and personal.
The center sells bags of approved animal feed which is an enticement.
If you desire a closer look.
There are various overlook points located throughout the tour.
At the halfway point is an area where you can enjoy a small petting zoo, a gift shop (with restroom facilities), as well as a few food options. Everyone seems to like this area.
They truly flock to it.
My favorite part of the day was when this giraffe came over for a visit. You can view the video on my Instagram page.
Fossil Rim is a nonprofit center that specializes in captive breeding programs for indigenous and exotic endangered and threatened species.
A new baby rhino has recently joined the herd.
It was a truly magical day!

Looks like fun! We went to a similar drive through in Canada but it was a wild animal safari. We were warned to keep our windows closed so the tigers and wild cats didn’t jump in! It was memorable!
