Happy weekend to you! I know much of the country is still encountering snow. I thought it would be nice to give hope that warm weather will soon be coming. Enjoy Saturday Smiles A Small Kindness.
Don’t you love the charming simplicity of this spring mantel?
How To Celebrate Spring
This lovely gathering features several delicious looking recipes and pretty decor to welcome the arrival of spring.
Yes To This
I have such a deep admiration of those who do good works without the need to announce it. It is a true living application of Matthew 6:1.
Are You Watching?
I have heard nothing but brilliant things about the Howards End miniseries featured on the Starz channel. New episodes are released every Sunday. The trailer can be viewed HERE.
A Small Kindness
I absolutely adored this post. It made me happily reflect on a recent small kindness that truly made a big difference in my life.
I recently made a trip to the airport in which I placed my youngest child on a plane by himself for the first time. To further compound my nervousness the airline changed not just the boarding gate, but the terminal itself not once, but twice. As Sweet Guy and I made the rounds of courtesy shuttles and inter-terminal trains the clock ticked on. I followed him through the security line. As we swiftly approached what would be our final separation point my phone pinged. The terminal appeared as if it had changed AGAIN. There would be no way we would make the flight. I was ready to break down in tears. Enter in Timothy Joseph of Homeland Security. I know the DHS often gets a bad rap but this gentleman saved the day. He went above and beyond in escorting my son to his gate and then returned to assure and soothe a fearful mothers nerves. Thank you, Mr. Joseph, for your small kindness. It meant SO much!
May you give and receive small kindnesses this week.

What a happy post! It is so nice to read something cheerful and kind. So many writers get out their anger and frustrations (I may have been guilty of this a few times) but you posts are always so kind and gentle and thoughtful.
Thank you for being you. {{{hugs}}}

I love the mantle and that beautiful Spring meal.
I hope that your son is having a wonderful time on his trip. Thankfully you met a nice TSA man that could help. There are still nice people in the world, sadly there are so many mean ones sometimes they are hard to find.

With all the bad news in flying this week, it was nice to read something good about the field. Hope your sweet one has a great time.

Yes, yes, yes, I’ve been watching Howards End!! I needed something new to fill in some time while impatiently waiting on Outlander to return! 🙂 Anyway, I’ve been entirely intrigued by Howards End – love it.
Thankfully here in Central Illinois, normal spring weather is finally here and staying. No more snow for a bit now, and I’m thankful.
