The dictionary defines wonder as, “A feeling of surprise mingled with admiration, caused by something beautiful, unexpected, unfamiliar, or inexplicable.” I felt wonder this past week and would love to share it with you. So I bring you Sunday Smiles Wonder.
Earlier this week was the reveal for the One Room Challenge. My heart was filled with warmth and joy at all the lovely comments you left regarding the grimy shed turned pop up shoppe. I had a chance to look at several of the amazing spaces and would love to share some rooms that truly inspired wonder in me.
Bedroom
You might be surprised that the bedroom catching my fancy was a room for two little girls. But the design by The Makerista is brilliant and will truly grow with the girls. Plus who doesn’t love a good bed crown/coronet/canopy?
Kitchen
I love when people breathe new life into the old and abandoned. This amazing kitchen by Old Home Love shows that with a bit of elbow grease and a fabulously modern color that old stone and cabinetry can feel truly fresh.
Wallpaper
Wallpaper has made a huge comeback. Making It Lovely had a challenging closet in her circa 1891 Victorian home but she made it magical.
Office
Spaces often already have good architectural details that are hard to improve upon. But The Good Hive showcased how powerful paint can be with her stunning paint by the numbers inspired mural that took her close to 100 hours to create.
Bathroom
There were so many great bathroom transformations shared on this challenge. I absolutely adored the changes At Home With Ashley made.
Open Living Room/Dining Space
Once again The Pink Pagoda has captured my heart. She consistently knocks it out of the park. She transformed a dark dungeon into a bright and cheerful kitchen, sitting room and dining space.
Sunday Smiles Wonder
I hope you have enjoyed some of the ORC rooms that created wonder within me.
I’m headed to the movies today to go see Wonder. I can’t wait.
May you be filled with Thanksgiving and wonder this week.
