The roses are a lovely surprise in the fall arrangement and their deep red color really complements the oranges. But the best part of the entire picnic is the dachshund under the table! (Their favorite place!).

Some friends of ours for their wedding reception had pie instead of cake. They didn't want gifts either, so they asked the guests to each bring their favorite homemade pie instead of regular gifts.

I think one of these pies could set the scene for a lovely anniversary celebration for them, along with a pot of piping hot coffee.

It is so easy to create a sweet moment with these desserts. My partner and I eat them frequently, especially in the summer. Sitting on the deck in the golden hour eating some warm blackberry cobbler is heaven and a great way to spend an evening together! I can't wait for summer!
