Happy Valentine’s Day! Because of a busy schedule this year I created small, simple vignettes here at Storybook Cottage. I used Grandma Jingles’ collection of antique Valentines and ostrich feathers.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
However, some groupings were accented with the pearl hearts that I shared yesterday.
The entire family will enjoy the holiday with a simple pasta dinner. We will probably enjoy it in the cozy kitchen.
How will you celebrate?

Happy Valentine's Day Laura! Grandma Jingles' Valentines and ostrich feathers are so pretty grouped together. I also love your apron collection. Wishing you and yours a wonderful day.
We will dine at our favorite local restaurant with a view of Mount Yonah and enjoy coconut pudding for dessert!

We celebrated by my dear husband waking to my Valentine's Day card and heart confetti scattered around HIS sink. ❤ I ribboned a love note to his coffee cup handle.
Later he presented me with a vase of roses and a card. When we got in the car to go to our dinner reservations, another card and more roses were inside. At our reserved window seat by the beach, another card was there and a long-stemmed glass that read “Hello Beautiful” with hearts on it.
We came home and enjoyed a piece of cheesecake I made while watching “The Lost Valentine.” After that, we celebrated!
*hugs* and Happy Valentine's Day!
Kelley~
P.S. I depart Guam Sunday to fly to Mother's. She has been diagnosed with kidney cancer AND breast cancer. DH and I will be separated for a month while I care for her. I would certainly appreciate your prayers.

Lovely! ♥ Happy Valentine's Day, my friend.
I am off work early to prepare a nice steak & twice-baked potato dinner and some other veggie dinner for my little family. Already did the Valentine's pasta dinner with my parents included 2 nights ago and so tonight is just for Jim, Sarah, Sarah's boyfriend and I. We will exchange our gifts tonight since we weren't all together this morning to do that. I don't know how many more of these Valentine Days we will have together all as a family as my daughter of course is grown now and this is her last semester of college for a while at least, and there's of course the inevitable talk of getting her own place, or moving in with b/f etc. at some point in the future here. So, I just have to enjoy each special time in the season we're in and there will always be more celebrations, but they will just be – you know – different. 🙂
Enjoy your day.
Love, Linda

Just a little FYI…your ads are in the way of your header…I know you make money with them, I feel they take away from your blog. I just wanted you to know!

How special that you have those Valentine's that belonged to your grandmother, Laura. The pearl boxes are so pretty and I love the red and white checked aprons hanging against the white wall.
