Let’s Forgo Manners and Lick The Plate

Let’s forgo manners and lick the plate! was recently said by my Sweet Boy at the end of dinner. Like many other women, I am a mom to slightly picky eaters. I love a recipe that’s quick, easy and inexpensive. I often rely on recipes that use Campbell’s Cooking Soups as an ingredient. A fairly new feature I love is the Wisest Kid recipe section. A favorite go-to that my family adores is Chicken Roll-Ups. There are just four ingredients, and the tasty results will have your family wanting to lick their plates.

Let’s Forgo Manners and Lick The Plate

Ingredients

One can of Campbell’s Cream of Chicken soup. (You may also use Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup.)

Diced, cooked chicken or turkey (A great way to use up Thanksgiving leftovers!)

1 eight ounce package of cream cheese, cubed

1 can of crescent rolls

Let’s Forgo Manners and Lick The Plate

The Directions

Separate the crescent rolls and flatten one out. At the widest part of the triangle place a cube of cream cheese, a spoonful of chicken and top with Campbell’s Cream of Chicken soup. Fold in the upper corners towards the center and then roll the crescent towards the smaller end. Use a Silpat mat or grease a cookie sheet and place the rolls on the cookie sheet in a 375-degree oven for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown.

The soup, chicken and cream cheese roll-ups pair well with salads, fruit and many other side dishes. For this meal, I served it with wild rice and green bean almandine.

I always take the remaining soup and add a few tablespoons of milk to create a delicious type of gravy. I wish computers had taste testers because this recipe is SO good!

I really love that the entire meal cost under $10 and makes 8 servings. So for our family, that means that the next day there will be some major lunchtime envy from our co-workers and classmates.

I just love when a meal makes everyone happy.

Does look good. I could use mushrooms instead of chicken. I have to Sst your portions are not very American. 🙂 No wonder you stay so trim! I do have people in my house who want four times that amount at dinner time, but even so, still economical.
