A Sweet Fall Tablescape

Today is my Sweet Guy’s 12th birthday. While he will be enjoying a traditional children’s party very soon I wanted to make sure that the table was decorated for a special meal.

It will be just the four of us enjoying his favorite foods tonight.

The centerpiece is a small wheelbarrow that Mr. Décor gave me while we were dating…16 years ago.

I filled it with happy sunflowers, mums, red berries and roses as well as other bits of flora and fauna. It is surrounded by a bounty of dollar store harvest vegetables purchased long ago.

A bit of old burlap was layered over a cream colored tablecloth and topped with wicker chargers that I have had for several years. Each place setting also has my great grandmother’s silver and my mom Nadine’s dishes. It is almost as if they are celebrating with us!

Sweet Guy loves to drink just about anything in a “fancy glass”. These amber beauties were my mom’s from the 70’s.

I made simple place cards by cutting out a maple leaf and our names in the “Script” font with the Silhouette cameo.

A big “Happy 12th Birthday” to the boy who has always loved wheelbarrows and wagons!

May your Monday be a happy one,

Laura

Happy Birthday to Sweet Boy! He was an adorable little one and still is. (Do not tell him some old crone on the internet just called him adorable. It probably won't sit well with him.)

Love the table, especially the wheelbarrow. I used one on my mantle this year and really love the look.

While I was hanging out with my mama last winter, my sweetie redid my antique wheelbarrow which was falling apart. It was old when I bought it 20 years ago and have used it every summer. He did a fantastic job and I am back in business. Thank you sweetie.
