She turned the page of the calendar. Once upon a time, this month had brought her anticipation and great joy. Now she just wished she could skip to January and leave this month, this year, behind her. But there is There is Light There is Hope He Promised.
Life had felt like a snow globe. It had been a year in which her life had felt like a snow globe, badly shaken.
Some days where she wondered if there was a slow leak and others when she felt completely shattered.
Sometimes it felt as if the path before her was quite unclear.
While other days felt like an unsolvable maze.
Prayers asked were answered in ways she didn’t understand.
There were moments when she called out “Why have You forsaken me?”
But life continued on, the road rough.
There began to be days that little flickers of light began to appear.
Some days it seemed impossible to see the glow, but it was there.
Small glimmers of the promise* to cling to.
